BENHONG-CHINA, On Mar. 6, the domestic graphite electrode market registers stability, with the price running at RMB 21,000-30,000/T. Mainstream prices averaged RMB 23,643/T on Mar. 6, the same as that on Mar. 3. Graphite electrode prices are still mixed. Tepid downstream demand has led to price competition, hindering graphite electrode price rise. However, the actual trading price of graphite electrodes has inched up.

As of Mar. 6, RP graphite electrode (300-600mm) price is RMB 21,000-22,500/T; HP (300-600mm) and UHP (300-600mm) prices are RMB 21,000-23,500/T and RMB 22,000-26,000/T, respectively. UHP (700mm) price is RMB 29,000-30,000/T.

In upstream, low-sulfur GPC prices of refineries in Northeast China keep stable. Mainstream trading prices for low-sulfur CPC are estimated at RMB 6,500-9,200/T.

Downstream, EAF steel production increases and most steelmakers start bidding activities in early Mar.
